Abstract Football Rivalry Art – Messi vs Ronaldo in Dynamic Colors |
I hate Lionel Messi for two reasons:
-
I am a staunch Brazil supporter.
-
I am a devoted fan of Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Why wouldn’t I? If it weren’t for Messi, our Pelé or Ronaldo’s title of ‘Greatest of All Time’ would have been divided, or their place would have been much shakier. To attain the title of ‘Master of the Greats,’ they would not have had to struggle so much.
The man who has broken through the strong walls of Madrid year after year, showing his domination – I cannot love him. The one who has claimed a share in the dominance of Brazilian football – I should naturally feel disgusted looking at him. The one whose presence has prevented Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ballon d'Or count from being a bit higher – I just can’t bring myself to love him.
A person who has no faults – it’s natural in the world for there to be hatred and resentment towards him. Playmaking, dribbling, set-piece taking, or goal-scoring ability – what doesn’t he have? He has achieved everything in both club and international football. And that too as the captain, carrying the whole team on his shoulders. When you open the book of his personal achievements, anyone would be compelled to say one thing – Leo is unparalleled, Leo is unbelievable!
There is no football terminology that can define him. The very word 'football' seems to carry the weight of this man’s legacy from the beginning of this century.
The hatred I feel for Messi is solely born out of rivalry. Hatred born from him taking away our dominance. If I remove the glasses of rivalry and look at football through clear eyes, what I see compels my voice to say – shining with a divine glow in football, there is no name that can be compared to this one – Lionel Andrés Messi. ❤️🩹
